TheIncLab selected to deliver mission planning software for U.S. Special Operations Command

April 10, 2023

The production agreement, with a $95 million ceiling, supports tactical mission planning and situational awareness for joint operations.

McLEAN, Va. — U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has selected Mente Systems, Inc., doing business as TheIncLab, to deliver software for the Special Operations Mission Planning and Execution (SOMPE) program. Under a production Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), TheIncLab will provide a suite of tactical mission planning and situational awareness tools that automate tasks supporting joint operations.

Special operations teams plan for missions that range from deliberate to time critical. As conditions change, planners and operators need to update their plans and maintain a shared understanding of what is happening in the field. SOMPE supports that work by automating time-sensitive planning tasks and improving situational awareness during mission execution.

The agreement (H92415-23-9-0001) has a ceiling of $95 million, with a 12-month base period and nine option years. USSOCOM is obligating $7.04 million in fiscal year 2023 research, development, test and evaluation funds at award. The majority of the work will take place in McLean, Virginia.
